About the teacher....mrs. rohrman
Personal Bio: When I am not in the classroom I enjoy spending time with my daughter, husband, and pets. We are very active and enjoy spending time outside. On the weekends I can be found at the beach, on a boat, or relaxing with a book in hand. I love to cook and bake; whether or not I do it well has yet to be determined. We moved to NC in 2010 from NJ and feel very at home here. Since welcoming our daughter in 2011, we have been enjoying the surprises that parenthood has to offer.
Professional Bio: I am an honors graduate of The Richard Stockton College of NJ Teacher Education Program. I am certified in Elementary Education, Middle School Science and Middle School Language Arts. I am eager to put my creativity and education to use in the classroom. I am a dedicated teacher, self motivated person, and a team player. I aim to be a positive role model for all my students.
Additionally, I have a BA in psychology from Rider University and have spent time working with individuals with special needs. It was during my employment as an Associate Therapist that I discovered my passion for helping others learn. Developing instructional programs for learners with varying needs, including non-verbal learners, was both challenging and rewarding. My experiences working with people who have a unique way of understanding and communicating allows me to truly appreciate the variety of learning styles that exist in a classroom community. I spend a great deal of time reflecting upon and developing lessons to meet the needs of all my students.
